The intersection of motherhood, perfectionism and diet culture is REAL!!! In this podcast episode I had the pleasure to connect with Nicole McNellis, a licensed mental health therapist and maternal mental health counselling specialist. Nicole and I talked about the role perfectionism plays in keeping us stuck in diet culture as well as all the pressure parenthood places on moms in particular.
Nicole operates her very own counseling private practice in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – where she also resides with her family. She is a mom to two of the most energetic, curious, and full-of-life little boys. Nicole’s therapy practice focuses on the needs of women, moms, and mom-to-be. Her practice is woman-centered and creates space for women to explore their own unique and important challenges.
